Who broadcasts emergency alerts?

Only authorized responsible authorities can send warning messages. RO-ALERT messages will be sent only when there is a serious threat to life, health, or property. The only agencies authorized by the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) to issue warning messages are the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and the territorial (county and Bucharest-Ilfov) Inspectorates for Emergency Situations.
