What is an au pair worker?

An au pair worker is a foreign person who comes to Romania to live with a host family. They help with easy household tasks and taking care of children in exchange for improving their language skills.

The employer, who is a member of the host family, gets the work permit. This allows you to have a part-time job for up to one year, doing light household chores and looking after the children.
