What medical services can I access with the European Health Insurance Card?

With the European Health Insurance Card, you have the right to access services provided by family doctors, specialist doctors, or dentists working in clinics contracted with the health insurance house.

Additionally, you are entitled to emergency hospitalization, treatment for epidemiological diseases, maternity care, subsidized prescriptions, emergency home consultations, medical transportation, dialysis, chemotherapy, and oxygen therapy.

Note: For certain medical services, you may be required to pay a portion of the costs, even if they are fully reimbursed in Romania.
