What is the emergency service?

The 112 service ensures the reception of emergency calls from citizens and their transmission to the specialized intervention agencies (Ambulance, SMURD, Police, Firemen, Gendarmerie, Salvamont), in order to ensure an immediate, uniform and unitary reaction to solve emergencies.

The 112 service is provided by the National Single Emergency Call System (SNUAU) which is composed of single emergency call centers, integrated emergency dispatchers and emergency dispatchers of specialized intervention agencies.
